As one who is fortunate to work and play in the Tahoe/Truckee area, I must admit I often take this special area for granted. I recently had one of those "Ah…Ha!" moments that made me realize how fortunate we are to live here. In celebration of the summer solstice we crammed as many outdoor activities as we could into one day.

Starting at 6 am and ending at 6 pm, a group from Tahoe Mountain Resorts Real Estate ran around Donner Lake (6 miles), kayaked Donner Lake (6 miles), road biked Donner Summit (32 miles), swam the width of Donner Lake (1 mile) and concluded with a mountain bike ride on the Emigrant Trail (18 miles). The air was clean and fresh, the scenery stunning, and the camaraderie rewarding. A truly amazing day in Tahoe that made me think about the recent special achievements we have had at Tahoe Mountain Resorts and Club.
